House on Haunted Hill is quite an atmospheric movie. It has spooky background music, plenty of cobwebs, ceilings that drip blood, and organs that play all by themselves and... oh, I nearly forgot, it also has one of the best horror actors of the day - Vincent Price. "The Sword and the Dragon" (1960) is the Americanized version of the  Russian film "Ilya Murometz" (1956) released by Valiant Pictures and  presented by Joseph Harris and Sig Shore. The Russian original, was directed by famed fantasy film maker and  animator, Aleksandr Ptushko, and was derived from Russian folklore. When a Carribean Island is engulfed by a revolution, one unscrupulous American mobster, Renzo Capeto plans to clean up with a get-rich-quick scheme. His diabolical plan is to provide refuge for the loyalists, and the contents of the government coffers, on his boat. He would then murder his passenger and escape with a fortune. Planning to blame their deaths on a mythical sea monster, no one is more surprised than Renzo, when the real monster appears with its own agenda.
